the sketchbook!

please dont steal or repost my art... i would be sad :(

2 pages: a watercolour thumbnail and a bunch of disorganized sketches with the text 'i think the part of me that filled all those sketchbooks died'

lately, ive been filling my sketchbooks with way less final pieces and a lot more sketches, experiments, and little doodles. its not as impressive but i feel a lot less pressure to make everything super nice.

a woman's shoulder. she is pale, has white hair and moss and mushrooms are growing on her a self portrait of me with my hair up, one of my eyes is covered with a sticky note 2 pages: a series of drawings including mikey way in the im not okay music video, a smiley face, an upside down unfinished face and some watercolour flowers, and an angel a pencil sketch of jane prentiss from the the magnus archives a very colourful pencil crayon drawing of a woman holding her hand over her face in shock

when looking back on my art, i find myself sorting it into phases. i think the theme of this past year has been experimentation and mixing different mediums.

2 pages: a few gesture drawings and a bunch of watercolour flowers

another way ive been filling my sketchbooks lately is through working out of order. this page is also very out of order (some of these drawings are 2+ years old).

a pastel drawing of a bench in front of a lake. across the lake there is a cliff a woman covered in eyes stylized like a catholic icon 2 pages: a hand with stigmata holding a pencil and a multicoloured collage

^^^this is probably my favourite spread in my current sketchbook

a bunch of gesture drawings of hands with notes and cat doodles 2 pages: a few thumbnail sketches and a black, white and red collage

can you tell i've been going through a bit of a hand phase?

a sketch of a head being gentle raised by another hand a sketch of a woman. her eyes and the background are filled with a colourful collage
